Just south of the beautiful Matanzas Inlet, this vacation rental home is located on a natural "Old Florida" island called Summer Haven...it is elevated on nine foot columns, has cathedral ceilings and tile floors throughout, with an open living area and lots of windows. There are double glass doors in the master bedroom and breakfast area opening out onto a covered porch that spans two sides of the home and is surrounded by lush native trees. The observation deck or "crows nest" on the east end affords a view of the ocean and Intra-Coastal Waterway, over a forrest of gnarly wind-swept native oak and magnolia trees, where you can watch the sunset and star gaze at night. The neighborhood is a quiet single-family residential area with a mixture of owner-occupants and vacationers. The beautiful white sandy beach is just a two minute walk and is nearly private, as vehicles are not allowed on the beach and parking is scarce for outsiders...during the weekdays it is especially private.
