Gonzalez-Alvarez House St Augustine

The Gonzalez-Alvarez House in St Augustine is also referred to as The Oldest House. Constructed in 1723, the Gonzalez-Alvarez House is a National Historic Landmark and the oldest surviving Spanish colonial home in St. Augustine. Today the home features a rotating exhibit gallery, an ornamental garden, museum store, and museum. 

This historic house museum was first owned by Tomás González y Hernández, who worked at Castillo de San Marcos. Built in the traditional Spanish colonial style, this home is a perfect representation of the past of St. Augustine.
